Cutting the cake.

None of your Management Committee knew what would happen with either event.  Would anyone turn up, would the weather stay fine, would there be food for everyone.   We did know our Walk Tins were heavy, and that the birthday cake had arrived.

Fears were groundless as the steady arrival of guests and members turned in to the OBC grounds, with their chilly bins stocked with victuals and vino, and proceeded to enjoy each others company as the pleasantly warm late spring evening closed around.

The GRAND OPENING OF THE WALK TINS yielded up a massive $233.55 – not counting the $15 already pledged and the $41 yet to come – This from just 9 walking / pledging members.   Lets all get into the spirit next time.   Money raised is going to help enormously towards production of our new brochure which will be hitting the airwaves and your mailboxes shortly.

All in all it was a very convivial evening spent in good company.
